The brief was to conceal a large flat screen television in the client’s living room, which also had other pieces of furniture hiding audio equipment.
A wonderful commission for an antique restorer, as the piece required many of my other skills. Inlays of boxwood and ebony were painstakingly added to the faux drawers and top. All the mahogany moldings required were hand-made. Finally, the piece was carefully distressed and french polished to give an antique appearance.
